Fresh Valley welcomes pitches that help readers see soil and gardens more clearly. We are interested in sharply framed explanations, thoughtful field observations, and useful ways to understand the relationships beneath and around cultivated ground.
What we are looking for
Pitch original work about soil structure, plant roots, compost, garden water, or the organisms and relationships that shape growing ground. A strong proposal names the reader's question, explains why the subject matters, and shows what the piece will let readers understand. We favour focused ideas over broad surveys and avoid claims that one approach works everywhere.
Make the scope clear
Tell us the proposed angle, the main points you would cover, and any regional or seasonal limits that matter. Explain how you will distinguish personal observation from general information. Do not include confidential material, unsupported claims, or promises of guaranteed growing results.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to send your pitch. Include a working title, a short outline, and a brief description of relevant experience with the subject. Please send a proposal rather than a completed article unless we have agreed otherwise; we cannot promise a response time or publication.
